March 07 2024: Prime Minister virtually inaugurated the Swadesh Darshan 2.0 project

A momentous occasion as our esteemed Prime Minister virtually inaugurated the Swadesh Darshan 2.0 project , Tribal Cultural Experience at Chumoukedima Midway Resort on 07th of March 2024. This initiative promises to transform our tourism landscape and showcase the rich cultural heritage of our incredible nation. We celebrated this milestone moment in the presence of Commissioner and Secretary Tourism, I Kittto Zhimomi.

UNWTO World Tourism Day was celebrated at Noklak today.
The event was attended by Tourism Department officials, District administration Noklak and different NGOs and organisations based in Noklak.
The event also launched the Best Rural Tourism competition.

September 21

The Tourism Department on September 21 in collaboration with Noklak District Administration organized an Inter School Painting Competition on the theme ‘Eco -Tourism’ at St. Paul School in Noklak. The competition was conducted in two categories – High School and Higher Secondary. All together 60 students took part in the competition. The result of the competition will be out on September 27 Coinciding with UNWTO Day.

As part of the observation of UNWTO World Tourism Day Month, one-day training on ‘Grooming for professional Image Building’ was organized for Tour operators, Tourist Guides, Homestay owners, and Dept Officials at the Directorate today under the theme ‘Rethinking Tourism’ with Shri. Rajib Bal, HR administrative Head IBIS solution Kolkotta as the Resources person.
